Help! Sick chicken, I don't know what to do?!!

I've checked her over, her comb is very pale and her eyes seem ok although it's hard to look at them both as she seems to have one always closed. I see no evidence of mites or lice, I haven't had her seen by a vet yet. I'm worried that they may want to cull her as there have been bird flu out...

Not Sure If You've Got A Pullet Or Cockerel? Click Here! Thread 2

They are still cute, even if they are not up a "breed standard" Here are my 7 week old "Brahma" chicks, which I've been told are also of horrible quality. Either way i love them, Skittle and Nugget. Any ideas if they are pullets or cockerels? Or is it still too early?

    Backyard Brahmas!!

I got my chicks from a a breeder who specialises in pure breeds, I would see no reason why they would be mixed if they told me they were pure breeds.

Thanks guys I was really worried that they were going to be super loud! Does any one have a partner that thinks keeping chickens is embarrassing? We have a small garden but it is a considerably larger area than any of the commercial hens get allocated. How big are your gardens?
