OK next question with it then LOL.. If this is a genetic thing- is there a way to tell if it is coming from the hen or roo? Should I just cull both?

We have had the adults for about 6 months. They are on Layena plus free range time (have to be put up at night due to fox issues) so I don't think there would be an issue with nutrition?

Our white rocks are super docile. Our 4 year old can run right up to them and carry them around without a problem. They are also nicer to each other then some others we have had. Our Wyandottes are also docile.

Great that is what I thought.... I posted earlier about these guys not being hardy and maturing at the rate they should be- guess now there are more clues to this! Guess I will sell this stock off and get some eggs or chicks from a real breeder. Anyone have Dele eggs? lol

What color legs are Delaware chicks supposed to have? We ordered ours from a commercial hatchery and they have gray/slateish legs. I thought they were supposed to have yellow?
