She definitely looks like the color nutmeg. Thank you to everyone who posted pictures.
I have been reading up on golden layer 300s. Females come in different brown shades and can have eye stripes. I’m thinking this is probably what she is now since I think it would be more common that a...
I went to Atwoods today and found an oddly colored duckling. I just had to get her and of course I couldn’t get just one. Lol! she looks like a Rouen but instead of black and yellow she is chocolate brown and cream. For her friends I chose a properly marked Rouen (to compare as they grown) and...
Wow I wouldn’t have thought Appleyard. They were in with others with very distinctive black Mohawks that I thought for sure would be Appleyards so maybe these are just lighter colored one. Thx
Ok I picked these ducklings up at my local tractor supply. I have no idea what breed they are. They were in with Campbells, appleyards and or white and fawns / Perkins. One is 2 weeks old and the other is 1 week old. Any guesses to the breed?
2 week old is in the above photos and has black down.
Ok, I saw my big boy Speckled Sussex Roo breed my little Egyptian Fayoumis hen and just had to put some of those eggs in my bator. The first tiny egg hatched yesterday evening. The little chick is so tiny but a live wire. Anyway, now that she is all dried and fluffed out, I can tell that she is...
Ok, so let me explain what's going on. I thought I would try some white egg layers and went with 2 Buff Minorcas, 1 Silver Spangled Hamburg, and 3 Egyptian Fayoumis. They are all 7 months old now. About 6 weeks ago, one of these chickens started laying a small white egg (about 5 a week) in the...
^^^One of mine did not grow well either. At 8 weeks she was half the size of the others. I didn't notice her being smaller than the others as very young chicks. I would have thought she was the mystery chick except she looked like 7 of the other WTBs pullets that she came with except for her...
Did you ever find out what the breeds were? I ordered 15 WTB pullets from them and the mystery chick was a male WTB. I'm pretty happy about it. Some of my WTBs have beards and 2 were blue. So they might have given you all WTBs.
^^^One of my 4 Easter Eggers lays a large blue egg (from Cackles). Her egg is so pretty compared to the other EEs I just had to order the Whitings to get more of those blue eggs. So it's possible you have EEs laying at least one of those blue eggs. Do all of your birds have beards and muffs? All...
My WTB are colored partridge, blue, black, splash, white, partially barred (male), wheaten, and a male that is cream, red, and black. Some have yellow legs and others have grey/green. Some have puffy cheeks and some don't. Some and beards and other don't. Most have pea combs. Some have single...
I ordered 15 WTB pullets in July. The mystery chick ended up being a male WTB. The colors:
•8 chipmunk colored with varying shades of brown
-At 2 months old, 6 are pullets with varying shades of partridge coloration. Two are males with one being partially barred and the other being white...
