I was wondering how long will my coturnix quail eggs last if I just leave them in their hutch. I live in florida and my hutch has a closed off section where they lay their eggs all away from the elements.

Does any have a feeder that gives them amazing preformance that has little to no waste. Currently I use a chick feeder with a pie pan to help slow down the wasted food but they all ways seem to knock it all out when I fill it up. What should I do any suggestions?

Is it true you can use black pepper and mix it in with laying pellets to help start the hens laying during the winter time. In essence the black pepper will warm their bodies and also pepper speeds up your metabolism so i can see in theory how it could work but has any one tryed this method.
