Welcome to my hatch a long! Not really sure how this works but here's my baby Ollie the Muscovy Duck :)
Check out the full story on my page other pages.
Leave tips and tricks on hatching, as this is my first time. Experience raising Muscovies? Which sex of duck is more friendly?
Have fun! :D
I have a BIG EMERGENCY, and I'm not sure where else to post to get a quick reply.
I found this egg on the pavement near a nest, the mother would not take it back into her nest. It's a Muscovy duck egg, I'm sure. I've been keeping in a homemade incubator. I can't afford to buy a real incubator...
Here's a video of the baby moving. I originally thought it was TWO babies, because the the head and body were so far apart. Here's a bit of an info summary to catch you up:

They are maybe one week week to two weeks old. It's a Muscovy egg if that helps. Not 100% sure though. We covered the open spot with a damp towel but are terrified to move it back into the incubator.
Please help me, I opened my duck egg from the air pocket thinking it was dead. I had previously candled it and there was no movement and it had gotten very cold overnight. We opened it from the air pocket, and The supposedly twin Muskovy ducks inside moved their feet. I need help ASAP...
Yes, both blobs move and seem to have different ways they want to go when being active in the egg. At first I thought it might just be a single baby'a body and head, but since then I have seen the blobs move too far apart for there to be a neck in between
Thanks!
Does this look to be twins or a single chick? One dark blob seems to be darker than the other IRL, but I'm not sure what's going on with this wild rejected 'scovy egg
Yes!! I'm super excited to possibly hatch them :) I'm shocked at how well they are doing, I don't have a proper incubator or ANY proper supplies, yet the growth in the egg is very obvious. When I candle them they dance around in different ways, so they are definitely alive ^^
Any idea of how old...
Long story short, I found a Muskovy duck egg on the pavement and took it home after the mother rejected it. The egg has been doing great for about three days now in my homemade incubator; wiggling, growing etc.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone would be interested in watching a blog with info and photos / videos about the Muscovy ducks of Cape Coral FL?
I'm very new to everything ducks, though I'm very educated on parrots, I'm sure that won't help haha!
I am observing 3 females sitting on nests...
