Lost 2 quail chicks last night - the one with curled toes and another smaller one. I also have 2 that hopped up on the dome of the heat plate, slid down, and got stuck on their backs between the heat plate and the brooder wall. I got them flipped back over and under the heat plate. Hopefully...

I will have to double check. I had to pull my Govee out of that incubator to triple check the temp on the Hatcher as it has been giving me problems. The thermometer I have in there has been pretty spot on and it was only reading 99.8.

15 coturnix quail chicks hatched since early yesterday morning. Only 4 that have not hatched. I have 1 that is smaller and has curled toes. Tomorrow I will try and boot its feet (did not feel well today or I would have done it today).

BBS Ameraucana, Quail d’Anver, and sees many eggs got moved to the Hatcher today. Lavender Silkie eggs will get set in the incubator tomorrow.

I did contact the seller, but will more than likely not get a refund. The seller has a program where they will sell replacement eggs for half price plus shipping to make up for broken or lost eggs. I will try my luck at a usps claim, and if that fails I guess I will eat my losses for that batch. 😕

Out of 16 shipped Bresse eggs, 15 went into lockdown. Out of those 15, 12 hatched Friday/Saturday. One of my best shipped egg hatch rates ever!

I am in 2 raffle groups on Facebook and 2 on MeWe. They are as addicting as hatching chicks lol! I have won 2 sets of eggs, a gorilla garden cart, a chicken run, feed blocks, nesting pads, seeds,etc. They are small groups, so you win pretty often.
