    Links to feed ingredients

So I’m researching a science fair project about the effects of synthetic Methionine replacements in organic feed and their relation to carcass weight and ammonia in the litter. I’m finding it hard to find the ingredients in broiler chicken feed. Does anyone have pictures or screenshots of some...

Prolapsed Vent on cockerel or vent gleet?

Just looked at him and all the maggots are gone since I drowned them in Vetericyn and diluted hydrogen peroxide (only around the vent). I’m going to soak when I get home from work. Do you think it’s a prolapse that I need to put back in? Or just swelling from the maggots

    Best breed choice for 4-H?

Silkies are super popular and easy for kids to handle. As long as you find a quality breeder they are great. If they meet most standards but aren’t quality then they tend to be fragile in my experience.

    Hole in Duck’s Foot

Bumblefoot? I’m new here so idk how to get the links but search it up in the top and I’m sure there will be plenty of posts. Pretty sure it’s a type of staph infection and needs to be soaked in an epsom salt bath if it is bumblefoot. Good luck, hope he she gets better

It what she has/had if canker the incubation time is 3-5 days correct? Subsequently, wouldn’t it have spread to the rest of the flock especially when they had shared water bowls? Or could they carry without showing signs even though they never had it before? (Note: half are the same age as the...

Wound sinus canker also be causing the bubbling eyes? Because that’s what I’m super worried about

    Infectious coryza

Edit: I just checked the inside of her mouth. I guess she has canker also. I had checked her mouth a couple days ago and nothing was in there but now there is the cheese like stuff. Would that be the cause of the eye bubbles also?

    Wrinkled Egg

We have a mix of brown layers. Orpington, barred rock, Wyandotte and Australorp. I believe it’s one of the australorps though since I see them in the same box as where the egg usually is.

    Wrinkled Egg

I know this wrinkle isn’t as bad as others. However, would the wrinkles in this one be a sign of stress/ overcrowding or because the egg is so long?(one of my hens seems to always lay an egg this irregular in length)

    Feather loss

2 month old mottled orpingtons. Is it normal for them to not have this many feathers? I have to add they are the craziest birds I’ve owned. I can’t look at them without them freaking out and spilling their food everywhere.
