She gets chicken feed, organic crumbles plus meal worms, fruit, veggies, for treats. She has been laying but I don’t know the last time she laid. They all lay in one spot for some reason and it’s hard to tell who laid what
Hi everyone
I noticed my speckled Sussex looking a little droopy today. She then pooped and it looked of strange with the bubbles and the white part looked off. I ran a stick through it and it was stringy, kind of like mucous. She’s about 8 months old. Any suggestions??? She seem fine yesterday...
This little chick is off to a rough start. My son’s friend noticed that this little one was not with the others and when he picked her(?) up her butt was super poopy. We cleaned her butt off and trimmed some feathers and it kind of looked low her rectum was sticking out a bit? We put her in a...
Hello everyone,
I have an 11 month old silkie. Yesterday I noticed she was acting a little lethargic. She was just sitting on the lawn in front of the door and when I would walk up to her she would get up and move a little but not far. She let me just stroke her back, she has always been more...
Need some chicken health advice!
The information I have is kind of vague but I’m hoping the symptoms sound like something someone has experience with.
One of our silver laced Wyandottes (she’s around 2 1/2) has not been feeling good lately. She’s lethargic although she still runs up for meal...
Well the person he got the advice from was the owner who is a pretty nice guy. My guy just added two months onto their life span for some reason because he doesn’t pay attention like I do.
I sent my other half to get chick food for our two month old chicks and he comes back with an adult layer formula. The guy at the store asked him how old our birds were and my bf said 4 months (facepalm). Can our babies eat the layer food or should I run and get a back of chick food?
She did lick a little of the water that I put on her beak with the q tip. I tried dipping her beak to see if she’d drink but she wouldn’t. When I opened the crate I have her in she fluttered about a bit which is more activity than I’ve seen her do, she was also sitting up which she wasn’t doing...
She’s been in wood box with shavings in our garage. We have three other chicks and they seem fine. She doesn’t seem injured except that she had a small red spot on her beak. I can try the q tip method and see if that’s works
Her neck just drops down, seems limp. She has spazzy moments where she’ll flap her wings but for the most part she just stays still. I want to give her water with electrolytes and vitamins but when I dip her beak in it she doesn’t try and drink. How would I know if it’s coccidiosis?
My ameracauna is a little over a month old. This morning I found her splayed out by the water dish. When I picked her up she sounded in distress and then just laid in my hand with her neck drooping. Recently put water started coming out of the tap in the kitchen brown and was tested, it’s 100...
My two year old wyandotte has been laying soft eggs. She lays them and they immediately break. She gets oyster shells in her food. Last Thursday she watched our other girl, Sussie, get killed by a Coyote. My wyandotte, Panang, sounded the alarm but by the time we got out there our girl was gone...
Hey everyone! I took Clover to the vet. She's on antibiotics and kept in a comfy and clean pen full of shavings in the garage. She gets daily soaks with epsom salts. The vet said it wasn't bad at all and complimented me on bringing her in so early (I'm an anal chicken mom), the vet told me some...
