I personally have issues with it left & right. Better quality & not much more expensive at local supplier for fresh feed. This is not what healthy crumbles should look like.
If I don’t drive to the local distributor… we have been feeding Nutrena Naturewise.
Now... This is quite interesting. I will keep this in the back of my mind if we ever encounter again! Thank you! Orally just didn't work. :(
QUOTE="casportpony, post: 21467537, member: 151473"]Earlier this year I had two that hatched with wry neck, so I gave each one a shot of vitamin b complex...
I ordered these silkie eggs shipped as well. Both chicks developed severe cases within days or hours of being hatched. I'm starting to think it may have been genetic in the line because they didn't respond to any treatment & I did everything suggested. Rotating hourly for days & they showed no...
Sadly neither one of the silkies made it they just continued to get worse... Even with the vitamin E... Water with additives... & Egg yolk for nutrition. :(
So... Thoughts on this poly-vi-sol? Sorry! Reading, reading, & more reading. Asking because it seems to include vitamin B, vitamin E, & thiamine.
Nutri Drench is currently in my Amazon cart. But, they can't get it delivered until Monday. I would like to see if I can pick it up locally tomorrow...
Thank you for your input! Unfortunately... I will have to wait until morning to start that regimen then, so I can hit a supply store. :( I will be sure the little one doesn't get dehydrated between now & then.
I think it developed. I didn't notice that particular defect at hatch. But, it wasn't moving around very much either. But then again... Neither of them were.
Thank you!
I have vitamin E capsules in the medicine cabinet.
Organic... Encased in gel capsules. Do you think I could just drip a little at the side of the mouth? After cutting capsule open of coarse... Or am I going to potentially giving her/him too much? Also... Do you think those would be...
So, I ordered 6 Silkie hatching eggs. Only two of the silkie eggs I placed hatched out & both are/were not looking good initially. Navals looked not completely healed. They both hatched late compared to other shipped eggs placed at the same time (Maran). 8 out of 10 of those hatched healthy...
Mine Crested Cream Legbar Hen laid 2 today. I literally checked the coop 3 times today after finding a rogue nest yesterday.
I only have one hen that lays blue eggs. She laid her first one on the 19th of September & I have collected 17 blue eggs since then.
We currently have two Golden Laced Wyandotte's, Cream Legbars, Silver Laced Wyandotte's, Columbian Laced Wyandotte's, an Australorp, a Jersey Giant, a French Black Copper Maran, & a White Maran coming at the end of this month.
It's interesting because the chick with the rose comb has a much calmer demeanor than the one with the single comb.
Does it have to be a mix or could it just be a fluke?
