Any good ones off the top of your head? I can’t spend a ton of money, I have about an $100 budget on the whole thing (the reason why I found the cheapy cheap incubator was because it was small and i don’t want to have ten million Egg-stra spots In the incubator)
So would the cooler+ lightbulb homemade one be a better idea then the cheap one? If i want any chance of raising chicks myself I would need a ‘bator soon
I was looking at incubators on amazon and the cheap, small ones that I found was the “Kidisol HHD Mini Egg Incubator Automatic Digital 7 Eggs Poultry Hatcher Tool for Dutch Bird Chicken Egg (Yellow)” (Link #1) but I also found a thread on WikiHow on how to make a homemade Incubator (link #2)...

If you get it as a poult I think it would be fine with chickens (hell, let a broody raise it!) but if not I wouldn’t keep a Tom and my hens together so I’d but about 4 straight run and pray for some hens as well
I personally would invest in a full grown Brahma Roo, or a turkey Tom (if you’re looking for thanksgiving dinner, and a defender first that is) the Brahma would be more of an “oh crap let’s not attack them” thing, but a turkey would fight a pedator if it felt it’s life was in danger. Jersey...
I see you have 3 lavender Araucana and a few Isabella Brahma’s in the ‘bator. Those sound super cool! I want a Brahma super bad, but I can’t take the risk of a big Brahma rooster at the moment, so I may have to wait a couple of years
