    Sometimes things just happen 😓 my barred rock randomly died too. Birds can easily have heart attacks. But anything is possible.

    just continue to be around him. Maybe he doesn’t like to be held but just around you. My ducks were soooo lovey and awesome as ducklings and now they like to be around us but on their terms.i try not to force love but to just hangout and be the treat master!

    What killed my chicken?

    This morning I went out to feed everyone. Noticed my smallest hen wasn’t there and then noticed her entire wing on the ground. No animal can go underneath the fencing. I’m confused on what it could be. Would an owl or hawk leave the wing?

    3 of 4 baby chicks died

    She is a first time momma. and it has been about 18-22 days she has been consistently sitting on them and then just stopped and walking around with her new baby chick and doesn't care about the rest of the eggs who are due any time now! Unless they are all duds.

    1 baby chick hatched perfectly normal. 2 were dead in their shells but a little hatched and the 3rd was almost out of the shell and eventually died. I'm not sure whats going on.
