i've picked away the shell at the hole's edge and there doesn't appear to anything wrong with the rest of the egg. I also get those bumpy ones from time to time; just didn't know if there was a cause for this?

HI. Can anyone tell me what causes this abnormal hole in the egg shell. The inner membrane is not broken and the yolk/white are ok. On the outer edge of the hole there's a raised calcification. Just curious, I get one egg like this each month. THANK YOU!

Wooden eggs work well. My rsl started at 16 wks. The soft shells seemed to progressively get better. Best eggs I tasted. Congrats!!

21/26 started 2 weeks ago and numbers keep getting better!!

My red sexlinks started laying at 16 weeks. We use wood eggs that we found at a craft store and they seem to help. I put them in a couple days before they started.
