Shipped eggs spending a long time in trucks or in hot humid conditions do tend to start developing. So it's better to candle them once you get it to know if they are as per the picture attached.
If they are not, you can incubate them and then make a final call on the 7th day by candling them...
If you've set them on Tuesday 11th August, by tomorrow (the 7th day) you can candle the eggs and know if they are a yolker, a quitter or a developing egg.
Egg turning is very essential and should be done minimum 3 times a day. The temperature and humidity play a huge part too.
Lost 6 in a night to either a dog or mongoose. Saved a couple hens from dog attacks and nursed back to health. Lost couple of chicks to a mongoose again.
Since no mongoose in the list, I go with dog.
For anyone wondering how a NHR x Sultan cross looks like, well here's a couple pics.
At two months old, the crests have started to appear but there's still no sign of feathered feet.
The colour of the chicks now mostly resemble NHR chicks.
Tail Coverts - Short feathers covering the base of the main tail feathers in cocks. I saw Copper had bluish black tail coverts with orangish red tinge on the perimeter of each tail covert. Copper stands majestic at 1.5 ft tall!

Oh okay thanks! :)
While waiting I found the Colour calculator but since I don't know German it was difficult for me to get it.
And on google search found this pdf explaining Genetics of Plumage Color in Poultry. Will give it a go.
