    Bubbles from the eye

Poor chick! If you cant contact a vet try your local feed store! They'll know lots...... unless its place like petsmart or somthing. The best would be the store you got them from, they should know some stuff. So sorry I cant help but I really cant think of anything. Make sure she is quarantined...

How to RAISE a good rooster.

I totally agree with the "hands off approach" but if you are really trying to have a buddy rooster, the easiest way to do this is to get them as chicks and hold them for at least a while EVERY DAY. They will imprint on you and be very sweet and friendly their whole lives. I've done this multiple...

Thanks you for the support, I've just candled them, and I realize that they were not as far along as I though in some cases. Usually I let the hen do everything and dont involve myself other than to check her health, and the condition of her bedding. So I was surprised to discover the chicks at...

is this chick male or female?

I really like how well shown the chick is in the pictures, many post one pic of a chick and ask what sex even though you cant even see the whole chick. But your pictures show the key points in telling if a chick is Male or female. First, it is a bit to soon, but I'd guess hen from the pictures...

Unsure about the cause of "notches" missing from tail feathers...

Hmmmm I've had this happen multiple times and it was the roosters arguing over their favorite hens if it is not them I'm not sure what it could be. Frankly I'm pretty stumped, I dont discredit you knowledge of your flock or you chicken sense but I cant think of anything else

    Help! Chicks at risk!

So I had a hen a hen go broody, let her sit on some eggs, she was a great mother, I candled the eggs and they were developing perfectly. I have been efficient in hatching chicks the "natural" way but have not had ANY experiance in incubating. So it is with great panic that I realized my brrody...
