I stumbled across a 1950's Montgomery Ward Incubator - Model 56LZ-850, for $150... any opinions on whether thats a good deal or not? I thought about offering less, but if its a good deal I wont be pushy! I have a big cabinet MW and I love it, this is a smaller 50 egg one I was wanting so I didnt...
I was waiting on a PM ir something confirming who to send payment too, that's what I've gotten in the past.
I can't wait any longer tonight, I have work tomorrow... but as soon as I get your paypal info, you'll be paid.
So you would just put then in a box with some sort of filler material, but the egs would be kind of setting freely?
The eggs I got were in a carton with a single piece of bubble wrap around each egg, and the egg carton had newspaper under it...
Does anyone have pictures of eggs they've received or ones you've packed yourself? Im looking for an example because I got some today that I think were packed poorly (half busted).... but this was my first time getting shipped eggs, so I don't know. I tried uploading the pics of my eggs but...
I got my first set of shipped eggs and over half are busted! Is there anything I can do at the post office since the box was clearly marked FRAGILE, HATCHING EGGS? Ugggh very frustrating!!

Its been a week or two ago now but last month I set 72 eggs for a friend of mine. Come hatch day only 32 hatched, I was suprised because I had other eggs in the bator that came from my own chickens and I had a 90% hatch rate on those and they were all set the same day. I took the unhatched eggs...
I have 2, 1 month old turkeys that have had some diarrea... is it safe to give them ACV and Garlic, I use it on my chickens all the time with no problems but this is my first time raising turkeys. Anyone know of other neat natural stuff you can give turkeys?
I have an old MW incubator with 6 trays. Has anyone had problems with humidity? I have a baking pan in the top and bottom with a sponge in them and I can't get it above 41% for lockdown tomorrow. I know it won't help me with this hatch bit has anyone had to seal theirs with some kind of wood...
Thanks for the replies, I kind of figured they were the same but I wanted to make sure. Yea, meyers description is exactly the same as the Freedom rangers one but they cost more at Meyer. I am going to try my luck with these broilers, I tried one batch of the Cornish X and not only did I fail...
Does anyone have a preferance of either the freedom or rainbow ranger birds? Or anyone have any complaints about either. Im really considering the Freedom rangers from freedomrangerhatchery.com ... thanks
I have broke 2 good eggs now and I've had enough!! I need a good candler, I have dark Welsummer and Maran eggs. Anyone know which is better, or one to definately NOT get? Thanks!
My chick hatched about 2 today or so, but it can't walk yet. It kind of wobbles around but not actual walking. My question is, how long does it normally take for them to walk?
My hens, I have a fairly large group of them, won't roost in their coop. I let them out to free range during the day and they always manage to roost anywhere BUT the coop. I hadn't really tried to stop them until a month ago when I quit getting eggs so I knew they were laying elsewhere. I tried...
I have a group of about 60 welsummer hens, they are freerange and do great with feed supplement. What I'm wandering is if anyone has experience with planting various seeds for them to graze on. They have 10 acres to scavenge so I'm sure there's enough for them but I was just thinking as a...
