Put some hen scratch in a metal coffee can. And shake it when you see the bird, if its still around. Thats how a lot of people train there homers. If it comes to the scratch see if you can catch it with a net when it gets close. What area do you live in?
I fell I have to make a correction. My Texan Pioneers used to be set up with milk crate nest. Each area had boards blocking off the nesting area. I have found that I made some nest boxes out of wood with no area dividers and they are working well.

I had some hawk loss the last few days also. Locked up the birds for the rest of the week to let things cool down. I need to feed train some young birds anyway. Im already missing letting them out after I get home and its only Monday. LOL
