That was exactly what I was asking. Thank you very much. Now, I just have to wait for them to hatch and for the hatchery to ship, waiting is so hard...
Last week we lost our rooster, so this week, our hen decided to lay eggs (she was laying before we got her but had stopped when we brought her home) after mating with said rooster. So, my boyfriend decided to build an incubator. He has built it and the temps are staying steady and we put two...
When we first got our six chicks, my DB's sister thought we were nuts . But now she has been up to our house on several occassions now just to sit out back and watch the chicks run around. Well, yesterday was my DB's birthday, for his birthday, his sister ordered him, 15 chicks and...
Yesterday I came home from work and found three of our chickens on the front porch I thought nothing of it, since they have discovered that the cement is nice and cool. I thought I would check on the chickens before I started dinner. I walk out to the coop and four of the chickens refuse to...
Hello-
I am looking for a Porcelian d'uccle rooster. I am willing to meet or pick-up. Please let me know. My neighbors dog got ours lst night, and my poor son just thinks he ran away. Hopefully we can find one to replace him soon. Neighbors dog won't be coming around anytime soon.
I haven't tried the Almond Milk yet, but have been thinking about trying it. My DS couldn't drink milk when he was younger so they had him try soy, no go, then they tried rice milk, that worked, but super expensive, but it's really good.

She can't get into the coop, I am going to try and rig something up for her tonight and see if that helps. I also don't know if this is also because her wing feathers have taken quite a beating from the rooster.
I haven't seen her...

She is quite active and runs around with the other chicks(6- about 7-8 weeks old) and her mate, I don't know how old she and the rooster are, here is a picture of them.
The only one who really bullies her is the male Porcelain D'uccle Bantam, and that's when he is trying to...
I recently got a pair of Porcelain D'uccle Bantams. The rooster is doing great, but my hen is worrying me a bit. The first night she had trouble figuring out how to get into the coop, which was to be expected, so we put her in there on the roost and she was just clucking away happy as can be...
My boyfriend ran electricty to our coop, and we have two lights out there, but we only use them if needed, other wise we put an LED night light out there with a sensor, not too bright, just enough so it's not pitch black out there, if you know what I mean.

If you look closely at the second picture of Sassy, you'll see where her wing feathers have been picked at by the rooster and in the first picture you'll see where the rooster's tail is picked at.
Thank you everyone for your help.
