    Help....an egg has a crack - there is a line and then a little hole/circles of cracks like a bullet hole almost looking (sorry idk how else to describe)- is this it hatching or something else? They haven’t been dropped or anything and Tina is sitting religiously on them...

    Silkies are notoriously hard - I was wondering about my year old hen until she laid an egg :rolleyes: ! I’d guess the beautiful black one might be a roo but that’s just a pure guess based on nothing but stance

    Thank you so much! That particular little guy seems to have a lot of room to move and is busy....from what I’ve read it doesn’t seem he/she would be adjusting itself so much if further along? But I truly have no idea

    Just an update -unfortunately none of the 3 bantam eggs made it. They all went bad several days after these pics. Blood rings then leaking/weeping (not sure of term) thank you all for replies! Still hoping the 7 silkies make it

    ETA. - 2 pictures below Can be anywhere from 11-15 I guess. Silkie sitting on adopted eggs. Apologies I know this isn’t the best picture but this is the result of a rather janky candling situation and a very excited 6 year old photographer :)

    Thank you! Sorry that is actually in a pitch black dark room - but the flashlight is one of those damn LED ones that’s so tiny but waaaaay too bright! I’ll try later with another light not shipped - got them from a friend who has tons of chickens and eggs because my Silkie went badly badly...
