Do they all have blue legs? Iv had 12 hatch, some have blue legs and some don't. Some are silver and some are brown.the rooster is a gold duckwing phoenix and i THINK the mama was a bantam BBR ( but there are silver hens in the same coop) Thanks in advance
Hey y'all, got a quick question. My golden Phoenix got with my bb red hen. This is the first clutch for all 3 of us, the hen ,rooster and me. He is finally getting with his pheonix hens now but I just wanted to get my feet wet with the chick thing on this BB red. Is there a way of knowing what...
Hey y'all, got a quick question. My golden Phoenix got with my bb red hen. Is there a way of knowing what they are going to look like? Don't phoenix have bb red in it anyway? I'm sure the chicks don't have markers do they? How do genetics work with these, are there dominant and recessive genes...
Thanks for the reply. What is this color variety called? Sense I didn't anticipate on getting these I'm really curious as to what to expect. On a side note, I never would had thought that watching a handful of chickens would be so,,,,,,,,,,, satisfying.
I found out recently that two out four of my bantam phoenix pullets are not what was sold to me. Turns out that I have a pair of bb OEG . I have a phoenix cockerel that is roughly the same age as the BB but the phoenix LOOKS like a rooster. The BB (cockerel) looks like a pullet still. Question...
This is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Im not a brewer by trade per-say but I have spent many of hours squeezing corn🥃 . My go to is sweet feed. makes a nice little "rumskey" wonder if next time I do a mash I could pull out a bucket full of sweetfeed a day after I mash in and use that...
Dog shock collar. Put it on the max it will go. As soon as the dog acts like it is interested it the birds,,,, mash the button and roll the dog. Dogs respond well to, and remember electricity .
Thanks for all the replies and conformations. I wasnt expecting the outcome. What we got was a group of novogens a rooster and 4 hens, and what I thought (was told) was a group of phoenix bantams, a rooster and 4 hens. I thought this would be a fairly even group to house together. Now I have...
Oh my... hahahaha. If yall don't mind, later today I will get better individual pictures to post that way I can see exactly what I have. So you're saying I have a pair of Old English game birds as well now? I wasn't expecting that.
Thanks so much for the conformation. I could have sworn that she got them out of the same run as the silvers, but there was a coup full of BB's right beside them. Oddly enough, the two Old English game bantams are a little more spunky than the phoenix.
Any idea on the rooster? I know (think)...
Shoot. Thanks for the reply! Well, I guess 2 out of four ain't bad. The group was 4 hens and a rooster. Here is the rest. Now not sure what I got...The 3 in this pic do in fact have slate legs though .
Hi, I got this group of bantam phoenix and when trying to find out their morph, or color pattern, someone pointed out that two of my hens may not be phoenix what say ye? Can their legs NOT be blue? Thanks in advance
I questioned that myself. From what I've briefly picked up , I thought their legs were supposed to be blue (ish). Correct me if I'm wrong? ?? The two silver looking hens have blue legs and the two brown hens have yellowish legs. I'll have to confirm tomorrow.
