I am no longer able to take proper care of my chickens. I love them very much, enough to know when they need a home with more time for them. I have 1 Giant Cochin-black about 7 months-$15, 2-Black Stars 1 and 3 y/o- $15(1y/o) and $10(3y/o), 1 EE 2 y/o lays a light blue egg-$15, 1 EEx 2y/o lays a...
Thanks for all the help and good info guys. I have not gotten a heat lamp and don't intend to. I have wrapped the coop in plastic on 2 sides, but left two sides and from 5 feet up open for ventilation I took fecals to the vet and they are positive for hook worms and coccidia. They have all been...
My coop is very drafty. I went out and put thick painter quality plastic around the coop and I already have deep litter at least 6-8 inches of straw. I think what my problem was the drafyness...some snow did get inside the coop and in the run outside. I have decided not to get heaters, cause it...
Yes the wind was really bad! I am gonna put plastic around their coop today and hopefully that will help. I am getting heat lamp and cords TODAY! My bantams feet have thawed out, but she is sluggish. I have brought in my 3 leghorns all of their feet seem frozen. Well good news is i only have 1...

He is the reason that I think the others are pullets. I have known he was a roo since day 3 his entire demenor was just Rooish! Hopefully the rest aren't just late bloomers!

1 Standard I have thought was a roo since 3 days old...Def a roo.
1 standard I believe is a pullet(not a comb its a leghorn butt in the background...lol)

Oh and I think there is only 1 roo and 3 pullets. Tell me what you think.
Standard Leghorn mix Pullet? (there are leghorn tail feathers sticking up in the background that makes it look like she has a giant white comb just hard to tell its another bird in this pic)
Little mr. Roo...Im prett...
My black chicks are standard leghorn bantam mexi game cock mixes. The Bantams are Mexi game cock and bantam jap mixes. They've got a lot else in them too.
I sure can and definently will. My guess is that in the 2nd pic the one poking his head out the most is a roo and the rest pullets . we will see though.
This is my first time with chicks. I have 4 mix breed 2 of which are bantam chicks. I have a mother hen taking care of them. They are in an enclosure which is a bird cage with wire bottom with shreaded paper on the bottom. I put flock raiser and water in there for them.
Could someone just lay...
