I have a white Call drake, last year hatch, that I found stuck in the mud on his back the other day. I figured he somehow rolled down the little hill and landed there and with his wings stubby from molting and the suction of the mud, he couldn't get up. Then today I was doing some work in the...
We adopted a duck several months ago that has lice. Wing lice. It looked like very small pencil lines that were moving. The duck is white, so they were very easily seen. I have no idea how I would have found them on a dark colored duck.
I just took a Call Duck a friend of mine rescued from an auction. It has mites, so I need to treat before I can add it to my flock. Has anyone ever treated mites in small ducks? Any help for this poor guy would be great!
Thanks!
Our first hatch in the Brinsea Mini Advance has produced 5 happy Call Ducklings!!! Our other incubator has hatched two mutt chicks already and three more to go!!!!!
SOOOO Happy!!!!!!!!!!

We have a hen, Beaktrice, who has crossbeak. It is pretty bad, but she can eat and drink. I thought we were going to have to "dispatch" her due to this, but she seems as weighty as the others her age, which is about 11 months. We do trim her beak when it needs it and it doesn't seem to be...
