    I noticed today that my tiny white silkie has little red mites on her head.its too cold to give her a bath.. I dusted everyone and the coop but was wondering if the cold would kill the mites??

    I have had a feather here, a few more there, a handfull here and today EVERYWHERE....feathers from most of my flock.. never had any molt so im wondering if thats what they are doing NOW... will they molt this time of year? no one is " naked " yet but if this keeps up they will be .. poor dear's

    I see a lot of pics with really nice looking birds, most have nice bright red faces. mine do not.. im wondering if they are missing something in their diet? they are pretty healthy but have kinda a flakey thing going on there cambs and waddles.. whats up with that? ETA : they are all laying...
