It doesn’t look red or inflamed, just very fluffy and about the same color (a little darker) from he was a baby. I will check for bugs but we have two other ducks with no issues and they are always together. He doesn’t appear to get picked on, they all seem to get along
Our 9 week old male duck is losing feathers. Appeared to be fully feathered and now has these patches of fluffy baby fur. Any idea what could be going on?
We just have the coop sitting on the grass which is now basically just mud from them eating the grass and their water. I don’t have litter, can you explain that ? Sorry first time duck owners and just moved them outside.
They are 5 weeks old
I have an awning from a swing I was going to tarp over half of their cage. Otherwise they will have some shade throughout the day from the house/fence/trees but they will have periods of direct sun.
They will have a little kiddie pool maybe 8 inches deep

This is what we have! I plan to create a better more sturdy ramp that has a little grip for them as well. Otherwise I planned to just put them in there at night time so they are safe
Thanks for the info!
I have three ducks and the coop is about 38x92. And we are going to have an area of the yard to play like yours. The upstairs is a nest box we planned to put them ourself for night time
Hello!
We are going to transition our ducks outside in a few weeks.
What is everyone’s set up like?
We have a coop for them, should we have it just sit on grass and have straw in the upstairs area? Straw on bottom and on top?
We are going to start transitioning our ducklings to Nutrena duck feed 18% pellet.
My question is, it says provide appropriate grit, Just started hearing about this and not really sure what is appropriate and what we should get
Thanks!
