we sell by word of mouth to/ from work friends and put a nice sign out front at the mail box. it takes a little bit for people to stop and get them, but once they do they are usually hooked on the freshness of the farm eggs. (had a guy when we started stopped 3 times in 1 month and got a...
depending on the bird and its line--eggs can be all kinds of colors from these ...i have 5 EE's and have 2 more on the greener side, 1 more on the blue side, 1 light cream, and 1 "pink". they all came from the same hatchery and at the same time. and i have been told they can also get brown...

Hi All,
If you need a higher protein feed for your flock why not not buy a higher protein chicken feed which is formulated for chickens not cats.
Check the protein content of the cat food and compare the cost to hi protein chicken or turkey feed. I would bet cat food is more expensive...
OK--read all this about adding things like ACV and pepper to the diet of my birds, and i like the idea of doing natural things to help them be healthy.
my question then is this>>>>> if we give them yummy things and the eggs are yummy for it.... if we give them ACV will that make the eggs a...

has anyone used this wormer? is it a good one? can you still use the eggs when you are giving it to them?
i do not have any problems with my 15 girls right now but i figure it is good to be ready just in case and would like to know what is good to use if they get worms or to help prevent them...

this is close to how we did it as a kid on the farm. we would also put a loose bail twine around the neck just at the base of the head to controle the birds head (it is much better i think so you do not miss) we did this on a large wood chopping block and a very sharp hatchet. dad...
we did frame work then put down the flooring (shower stall panel) and then the plywood for the wall to hold it down then caulk around the edge to make it better for cleanning.
I would see if your state, as IN. does, has a State Egg Board (or the like) and e mail them and ask, or check on there web site for information. That is what I did to make sure I was not doing anything wrong by selling them.
But I would not see anything wrong with giving a "gift" to anyone.

it is reallllly nothing more then a very large chicken when it comes to the grill so it takes longer. and the grill is nothing more then an oven outside! i even used it as a food warmer for the...
