    Chicken Tractor

Tractor is still good as new. But, I don't think it is quite big enough for all 6, now that they are fully grown. And it is pretty heavy to move. I would recommend 2x2's if I had them. But, I had to use what I had lying around. Good Luck.

    Hen is walking funny

It doesn't seem to be an injury to her leg or foot. It's more like she takes a couple steps and then lays down like she's exhausted. Her eyes look good. She is eating and drinking. She does have loose stools and rough feathers. Most of the day she just sits on a perch watching everyone...

    Ive never wormed my chickens

Are there any drawbacks/side effects to dosing your flock? If you are not sure if they have worms, have never seen any in the poop?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why do you feel the need to worm them now after 3 years? Any signs of worms?

How many wine makers do we have here?

Racking my Apfelwein today. Adding cinnamon sticks, fresh ginger and a little allspice. I know it's not wine, but it does has to do with fermentation so I'm also making some Kombucha. Happy New Years!

Chickens laying eggs overnight from the roost

Thanks Fred. Makes a lot of sense. I actually don't have any lights at all in the coop. No electricity that is. So, as long as it doesn't mean that they are sick or something like that, I'm ok with it. I have just scooped them into the compost bin so far. Just wanted to make sure that it...

Chickens laying eggs overnight from the roost

Has anyone else experienced this? In the morning, I have found broken eggs on the poopboard that must have been layed overnight. It has happened now 3 or 4 times. I have 7 hens that are about 1 1/2 years old and 6 hens that are about 7 months old. I am getting around 3 to 4 eggs a day right...
