I think the fact that the barring dilutes the skin makes it all the more important to breed back to black... I have found that the roosters tend to have redder combs then the hens. This may be just because the comb grows larger.

I find that since I got rid of all my silkies I am so bord all the time. I miss watching them...takeing pictures of them...Creating sigs and avitars with the pics...selling eggs ect... Some thing were going on in my life that prevented me from keeping them but things are getting much much...

just a little update...Geese are getting big! Looks like we will have 2 white, 2 toulouse color and 1 gray....I will try to get some pics later toay!
