    Rabbits eating our chicken's feed

There are several rabbits hiding around our fenced backyard. They have been caught in the act of eating our chicken feed. The amount of feed we buy has doubled! We are truly at a loss how to combat these pests.

The other chickens aren't having any problems. My yard is lined with leyland cypress, under which they cool off nicely and dig holes.

    won't eat or drink, HELP!

Oh please help before she dies. Since Sunday she has not eaten or drank. She has yellow diarrhea. She is about 1 year old buff orpington, never sick before. Now she is just sitting under a shady tree with her eyes closed. I am afraid for her life.

    pecked in the eye

I warned him, yes I did. I told him that I had read on this forum not to get eye level with a chicken. DH picked up one of our teenage chickens and put her on his shoulder. I snapped this picture seconds before she pecked him in the eye. Thank goodness he wasn't injured seriously.

Thanks for all of your responses! Y'all are terrific! One more thing... The reddish ones look identical, just like one one in the close-up. I don't suppose anyone could tell the sex yet?

Thin membrane of a shell, blood on the shell

They eat quite well---laying pellets, some scratch, oyster shell, grit...and treats. They free range so they get lots of bugs, too.

Thin membrane of a shell, blood on the shell

I am so worried about one of my hens. She layed an egg from the roost that has a thin membrane for a shell, like a balloon. Worse, there was blood on the egg. Does anyone have experience with this?

    Laying eggs from the roost...kerplop!!

We have just finished a new coop with a lovely roost and are trying to get the chickens used to it. They keep going back to their old coop, wanting to lay, but it is shut up tight and will soon be gone. At least they have no problem being tucked in at night. Here is my problem. One or more...
