    First coop, in garage...

I know it's been a while but I'm going to build my coop inside my garage and was wondering if you have those pics yet?

    Run dimensions question.

I was looking to do 4 to 6 chickens in this space but ya'll are probably right, it is a bit narrow. I think I'll be able to bring it out a bit. If I remove a row of pavers next to the garage I'll gain a foot and a half bringing it out to 4' 6". Original plan: 3ft x 18 ft works out to 54...

    Run dimensions question.

Howdy all, I'm going to be building a coop inside my garage. (I'm sure I'll have another thread about that later) but I had a question about the run dimensions. I plan on having a door through the side of the garage to the run. My plan is to use the current flower bed area that I have now for...

    Mosin-Nagant

Get a 440 round spam can of decent surplus ammo. It's way cheaper to shoot than any factory loading. It's corrosive but that isn't a big deal. Spray a squirt of windex on the bolt and down the barrel and clean like you normally would...

I second the Ruger 10/22, I have a couple. Nice guns and lots of ways to customize it should you be so inclined.

If it's not a round you reloaded yourself or a factory loaded box of ammo (Federal/Winchester, etc) you can bet it's corrosive. If it's a steel case round that looks a bit copper in color it's military surplus and corrosive. Best just too assume it is, since 99% of the 7.62 x 54r out there is.

I have a few old M-N's and others myself. Make sure you rinse out that barrel and action if your shooting old military surplus ammo, it's corrosive. I usually just spray windex down the barrel and on the bolt then clean as you usually would. You need to neutralize the salts or you will have...

Quote: I ended up at a local "organic type" store and they had wheat bran in bulk containers to purchase. I had never been there before but thanks to whoever mentioned it, I gave it a shot...neat place actually. I paid a $1 a pound but considering the feed store is about 30-40 minutes away...

    Mealworm farming

Well I had a bunch of cans of oats at home and I was out shopping when I posted from my phone so I bought a few more cans of cornmeal while I was out...lol. I'm a bit impatient. I also got a three drawer setup from Walmart for about $10 too. I understand the first two drawers with the screen...

I don't have a local source for wheat bran and was looking for suggestions on other media to use. I have lots of oats and cornmeal, will that work ok? I'm sure it's mentioned somewhere in the giant thread but I don't really want to search through 80+ pages. Thanks

I merely pointed out the other dangerous animal ordinance because they exempted other animals that are common household pets without ever calling them common household pets, thus strengthening your argument about the term being undefined. Quote: I don't disagree with you at all, I'm on your...
