Thanks for all the advice! After doing some research I will be charging $3 a dozen. The eggs we have been getting are all large to extra lg. The hens are 2yrs old. Have to wait till the end of Aug begining of Sept. for the other 25 to start laying:D

We just built ours an from everything I have read 4ft high is plenty. My husband used pvc pipe to make a frame for the top an then ran 2in chicken wire over the top. We looked at buying plastic netting to go over the top that would of worked great but had plenty of chic wire left over to use...

Well we have 10 adult hens an decided to get 25 chics. What will be the best way to introduce them?? The 10 are 2 buff orpington, 3 sexlinks, 1 bard rock, an 4 wyandottes. The younger ones are 8 buff, 5 wyandottes, 5 sussex, 2 amercanas, 4 rhonde island, an 1 bard rock. Thanks for an suggestions:)

Thanks! They seem to be doing good this morning. The coop they came from was all mud an the hen house was needed to be cleaned an pretty small. They have lots of room to roam in our coop an a hen house that is 2x as big. Enjoy your day an thanks for the info

We just brought home 10 hens that are @ 2yrs. 1 of them has no feathers on its chest an the other girls seem to be pulling out her neck feathers. New at having chickens should I take her out or let her be to fend for herself???
