    Thank you so much. I did candle them this morning and no pipping but one is clearly pushing up on the membrane now so no more checking. The humidity is really high. Maybe to high. What is good for goose eggs when it comes to lockdown humidity. Can you be to high? Mine is 89 right now

    Dry incubating humidity level Reptipro 6000

    I usually run the bator dry as well, but I keep a moist paper towel over the two vent holes on top just to keep the humidity around 25-28 ish. I do not cover the holes completely but hump the towels up so the air can get in. I am in New Hampshire so the heat is still running.

    If you cover the bowl all of the way it might heat up to much in there. I am sure she is sleeping from all of the hard work that went into hatching out. I guess time will tell with her. Sounds like the yoke sac was not absorbed all of the way, so just let her rest and pray.

    I think they are coming out of it now. It must be something to do with the hatching process. I have water in the brooder and they all seem to be liking that so it probably helps them preen and stuff. Oh, a baby duckling just hatched as I am typing this :o)

    I just bought 6 fertile American Buff goose eggs and the lady stuck in a free white Chinese egg which is fertile as well. I wanted the Buff after reading so many good things about them, but not sure what I will do with the Chinese baby. Wish they had a better temperament. I am just praying...

    Well, today is Thursday and so far we have three baby ducks and more are externally pipped. This is so amazing as last year I failed two attempts. The three newly hatched ducks are playing soccer with the other eggs though. I guess this is okay ??
