My third one didn't make it as I suspected. I'll leave the other eggs in for another day, and see what happans since none of the eggs were weeping.

No problem.
I just noticed that you are the "tread killer" society. I should be worried, shouldn't I? Anyways, how can I join your "cult"? Haha

There is a thread buried somewhere in the random ramblings section.

He's pretty even tempered so far. The girls don't really bother him, and Roxi follows him everywhere.
I'll get a closer pick of Stevie. He isn't nearly as big, but very pretty. Roxi as well. Stevie got his clock tuned by one of my Isa girls, and had an attitude adjustment from that encounter...
That could be! Or it's the strange noises the silkies make. They make strange noises, one of my girls is both confused and curious about it. She doesn't know what to think!
I'll see if I can snap a pic now. I see Stevie out there, so the others aren't far from him. I'll post it here.

They just started free ranging this weekend. It's a trio, but the female ( Roxi) likes Houdini better. I'll get a picture later this afternoon, when they come out of the pine trees. They hang inside the pines all day. Very smart
Yeah, silkies are evil!! I've noticed NONE of the adult...
Yeah, I didn't expect to be hatching any eggs. I just figured after Gandalf got killed it wouldn't hurt. The eggs weren't kept at optimal conditions. Some were even in the fridge. I did take those out, and let them sit at room temp for a couple days. All the eggs developed. They just didn't make...

Awe Funny how the babies look like ee's and nothing like sex links except maybe the pattern on the back.
Those two are the EE/EE and the EE/RIR. The EE/Isa is still in the bator, and didn't want to disturb it with the camera LOL

I figured I'd give a quick update. We had another hatch early this morning, and we had to take the other two out of the incubator since they were getting hungry and thirsty.
Here's some of the pics of them in the temp brooder. We have a bigger brooder in the garage, but wanted to wait until...
I've got an Isa egg that's pipped, and it's working on getting out now. I didn't notice any movement in the others, but they were moving earlier. So, I'm still waiting....

I wonder if yours will look just like thier daddy like mine do Every last one of them are yellow chipminks with varing amounts of black and white. Some have the black eye liner. Here is my EE roo just before I rehomed him. Her was about 13 weeks old here...
Yeah, I figured I'd put them on their side this time. I'm nervous enough as it is. Maybe I'll try the egg cartons next time.
I'll be happy to have more than two chicks! Come on little guys come to the light.....

There's lots of chirping coming from in there. It sounds like a chorus. The ones out chirp and I can hear some muffled chirps from different sides of the bator. I also noticed the chicks run to the eggs that seem to be chirping. I am also hearing tapping. I guess it's possible I can't see if...

I've got an Isa egg pipping now. I hear chirping from more than one egg now. I can see the chick moving around in the Isa egg. Would it take longer to hatch with a bigger egg? Our Isa eggs are pretty big.

It's a tough call. Alot of people say never help. I have a really hard time keeping my hands out of the bator though How are they doing today?
Still just the 2 have hatched. The first one on day 19, the second one yesterday. It's day 22. I am hearing muffled chirping from the 13...
Just two chicks have hatched stiil. I think I hear chirping, but I'm not sure. I don't know if I should help or what now. It'll be day 22 soon.

I have a second chick out now.
No signs of pips in the other eggs yet. I'll just keep sitting on my hands, and putting nose prints on the incubator window.....13 more to go.
