I have a Golden Campine Cockerel I need to get rid of if anyone is interested PM me. He's only 9 weeks old, but definitely a roo.
This is him at about 5-6 weeks. He's more feathered now and starting to get his tail feathers in.
What about a bob cat or coyote? I've heard the coyotes coming pretty close at night, never seen any here during the day. I did see a rather large bob cat crossing the road in the middle of the day about a week or so ago, only about 1/2 mile from here. I was outside and found another pile of...
ahhh, poop!
Something got one of my EE pullets the other day and today my big Black Australorp Roo has been taken, dang. We found a pile of feathers and I couldn't find him all the girls were up under my truck and then we went out on the wheelers and found another pile of his feathers...
Here's my broody momma with her 4 little Swedish Flower babies! They hatched on Saturday morning.
Here is where my Black Sex Link keeps laying her egg.
That would be in our shed and a crate of records
Are you giving them Poly Vi Sol vitamins in their water? One of my EE has a very large soft bulge on it's back end, splay leg and very weak, I seperated her, splinted her legs and gave her water with vitamins in it. Now at 10 weeks she's the larger of my 2 EE and very strong. I had her on...
Something attacked my girls last night. Doesn't look like I lost any, but when we got home from the fair and inlaws hours (it was about 12:30a) I went and checked on everyone. My Ancona and my Rooster were frightened and hidey-holed under the chicken coop. There were lots of tufts of feathers...
I have 1 rooster, i guess cockerel. He's about 5 months old. Black Australorp. He and my BA hen are always together. So I'm not sure if he'll even notice there's babies around with my broody girl. I have a ramp to the coop, I just hope it's not too steep for the little ones.
My pullets are finally laying. I haven't been keeping them locked up, but now that i'm finding eggs all over everywhere, as soon as my broody hatches her eggs out this weekend, I'm gonna lock the girls up for awhile until they learn to lay in the coop.
for those of you that don't know my...
Oh, okay, thnx for the fair info. We were thinking about trying to get into showing. My son just started 4-h this year and he wants to show something. We have, well chickens, so figured that's prolly what he'd start with.
