LOL! I meant the type of fence. When they outlaw chickens only criminals will have chickens.... or maybe that's guns. Well they did they same thing in Enid, made them illegal. But I see them in yards all the time.

What about a bob cat or coyote? I've heard the coyotes coming pretty close at night, never seen any here during the day. I did see a rather large bob cat crossing the road in the middle of the day about a week or so ago, only about 1/2 mile from here. I was outside and found another pile of feathers from my one of my red sex link hens. Good grief! Something is picking them off like candy. I was planning on thinning out my flock, but this isn't exactly what I had in mind.Kimbroe, dogs sure will het the chickens but they usually kill them and and leave the bodies it seems. Cats or racoons will sneak in and snatch them and carry them off.
I want to tell you how sorry I am. i've lost several recently. Take forever to go around at night and lock up everyone.
LOL! I guess I should read 'em all too. Ignore my previous reply. You were talking about fences not chickens suppose I should read all the posts next time lol.

Hopefully some of the chicks are nice and are keepers. The rest I will just give away. I actually enjoy hatching out eggs. Almost the funnest part of the whole thing.Kavellion, you realize now they're ALL going to hatch lol That's what happens when you do a "set and see" hatch![]()
