Anyone had an issue with a hen being rumpless? My one hen ended up looking like an emu! ;P
I don't feel a tail in there, but her tail feathers hang down and sort of block a clear path for her poo. I clip them or she gets all matted with droppings.
Her back and spinal area don't feel abnormal to...
I was looking for some earlier this fall and he had some in a project pen. He sent me a few photos but I don't have them anymore. Message Jeff and see if he's still got them. I be the does!
Ugh! I knew it! lol
I wish i had a set-up so I could keep ALL my roos. My neighbors all have them but don't think they would appreciate me having 6 or 7. Maybe I'm one of those weird people, and don't get me wrong I love my hens, but I REALLY love the roosters. I love their antics and personality.
Anyone up for guessing Cockeral or Pullet?
My chicks are almost 9wks old and my Lavenders and Blacks are clearly distinguishable, but my Jubilees are giving me some trouble. Or maybe I'm just in denial and don't want to admit I have any cockerals! ;)
These are from Papa's Poultry, Gisbrechts...
I think I will get colored bands to tell them apart! They sure are the sweetest little things, especially my little Clementine! ( they all have female names until they crow! Wishful thinking! ;)
I am new to the English Orpington world, and just received my chicks yesterday. They are Jubilee, Lavender, Chocolate, and Black.
My question is about the Jubilee chicks; 3 of them have chipmunk stripes while the other 2 are just yellow. Do done have stripes as chicks while others don't?
Thanks
