I'm so sorry you and Munchkin are having to go through this. I know the feeling. I spent well into the 4 digits on my duck. It's crazy. That's more or less how I give pills. Just gotta shove them far enough back.

When I was treating my Runner, I brought them ALL in for a swim in the bathtub right before I changed her bandages. That way I knew the water was clean and she got some time in the water. They will recover. I've read that if you wash them with soap and dry them off before taking them back...

That's what led me to try it, too. I was desperate. The shaking is concerning, though. I am sending virtual hugs. :hugs

Yes. A vet would be good. But, if it helps, I had my duckie on baytril for over 3 weeks. Oh - did you ever try the tricide neo?

Glad you got it down them! I find that just putting the syringe near their bills works for me. If I have a decent enough hold of their head, I just wait until the start nibbling at the syringe. Then I just squirt it in their mouths and hold their heads still so they can't shake it all out - lol...

I find syringe for ducks isn't too difficult. I have to be pretty firm with them. Some people have said bread, but I know bread isn't good for them, so I've not tried it. Maybe mashed peas???

As long as it's a bacterialinfection, yes. It won't work on viruses or fungal infection. It will def help bumblefoot.

Can you call the vet and ask for antibiotics? Or a follow up visit?

Just fyi: I have been treating bumblefoot in my duck for over a month now. She's seen a vet and taken antibiotics. It takes a long time. But my duckie's foot was worse.
