    Calling All Rabbit Nutters

:barnie Bonnie gave me such a big scare this morning. Usually she's at the door ready to be let out in the morning, excited to go run about. This morning she was in the bed section of the hutch, out of sight. Opened the door. Called her, did her water etc etc and NOTHING. I got so scared I'd...

Ahh, thats true! I'd say doe, of course you could do both if you wanted, but does really do benefit health and behaviour wise from being spayed. I need to make Bonnie's appointment soon! Edited to add: doing both is ideal, especially as it will calm the buck's hormones. I had a neutered pair...

Oh my goodness they're adorable! Wish I lived local, I'm sure Bonnie would love a friend! On the other hand, you may want to look into spaying, as they will keep on breeding like... well, bunnies 😂

thats great! For short lived animals they sure are wonderful to have around. Every hamster is different, but personally I haven't met one who hasnt loved these big enclosures, I havent seem any be very destructive in them, personally.

I like the fancy ones some people have nowadays- I've seen 4 ft aquariums converted into a huge hamster paradise, its awesome. Love to do that one day, my childhood hamsters had tiny lil cages, not the best setup

thats how I discovered Bonnie- I have a habit of scrolling these ads and finding some nasty ones. Bonnie happened to be close enough that I could actually take her. She was for free and the owners were just happy she wasnt going to be snake food.

I agree that bunnies shouldnt be homed until a certain age, isnt a wise thing to do at all. But I'm pretty sure Treb's situation was a fair bit different to what you're imagining. I dont think Kiki did anything wrong by taking the unwanted baby.
