Well to be fair to the incuview I have had really good hatch rates. Even with some of the issues I've had. I still think for the price it is a good deal and their customer service is really fantastic.
I am not sure if the egg turner is to blame or not. My eggs fit pretty well in the turner. I also have a full incubator so maybe that makes a difference and keeps them from going sideways.
I had early hatches both times. All hatched over two days. So not really that staggered.
I wanted to add that mine also runs a little hot and even hotter in the corners. I lowered my temp by one full degree and I am rotating my cartons. I have the original fan guard set up prior to the two changes.
Hillhouse I have had similar wrong end pipping. I have done two hatches and had problems with both. The first were shipped so I chalked it up to that. The second were home grown and I had 50 percent pip the wrong end. I did have a good hatch rate though.
I am on my third hatch right now and...
It should just come on. Either your power source is suspect or your cord is not connected completely. Or the unit has a problem. I will tell you one thing I do all the time: plug into an outlet that has been turned off at the switch.
Around 40%. But if its 10% higher or lower than that----I do not loose any sleep.
Thanks. Can't really argue with your success rate so thought I would ask.
I need some advice about temp. I bought my incuview during the summer last year and used it once to hatch out 14 shipped eggs. I had 8 hatch but they all hatched a day early. I also ended up with two chicks with curled toes.
I am about to use it again and it is up and running without eggs...
