I would not worry about the feathers unless you start seeing bald areas. My chicks hatched mid August and there are feathers all over the place. Try to relax and enjoy your birds. You can set up a little dust bath for them if you want, so they can clean their own feathers.:hugs i know you...

My August hatch guineas are finally in the hoop coop.

My goat shed might get finished by Xmas!

I painted the door today with oil paint, seems to stay on metal best. Got a great deal, $5! Plus it is a stain killer. Looks like a different door!

Thanks, hubby wants to send the noisy guineas out there in the woods so the chickens will get their half of the coop and another run.

Tomorrow is two weeks since i started building this coop. So much faster than my other coop! And the contractor put the roof on the goat shed!

I have to level up one shelf and put a few more tacks in, but scratch post is almost done!

I will have 16x8 feet for them in there! With a few tarps more it will all be under cover. Enough for 32 chickens, and i only have 24. They are just about big enough to free range. Hatched in mid August.

I am really wanting to get this coop done so my chickens get more space!

I went out and sat in the run with my chicks today. They look more like adults every day!
