All the blue and green eggs in this picture were laid by my SilkieO project birds. Most of the rest are from Black Rosecombs and Sebrights. Hopefully the chicks hatched from these eggs will start laying in August or September and the next generation of SilkieOs can begin!
I am so glad that the population of these is beginning to increase. These are going to be *super* popular. Kudos and Congrats to everyone who has worked so hard on these beauties!!
I'm working on colored-egg-laying Silkies (affectionately known to me as Silkie X... but maybe I should call...
I love these Fluffy/Silkied Ameraucana!! I am so glad that the project is continuing to move ahead. Someday I'll be able to have a pair of these beautiful birds.

I love my blue/green-egg-laying, Silkie-X chickens! I'm dreaming about an APA standard Silkie who lays blue eggs!
ETA: These Silkie and Silkie-X hens are spirited, aren't they? I put one of my little hens in with an Ameraucana roo who is twice her size, and she proceeded to show him...
ROFL at your roo! Let's hope he's not like the mockingbird who nested repeatedly at one of my homes; I always knew him because he sounded like a rusty gate swinging in the wind.
Waiting eagerly for pictures. These are beautiful birds! I'm hoping everyone has a 100% hatch!
