Congratulations eveyone on some beautiful hatches. I had 7 out of 7 hatch, one didn't make it even an hour after it was out.

I woke up to 2 chicks and 5 pips, After 20 days of nothing but worry, this is so worth it. I hope all goes well for you all.

Sounds like everyone has their hands full with new fuzzybutts. I locked down last night, running a steady 99* @ 55-60 %. I put together another incubator yesterday, it's on a 24hr test run, seems to be doing fine. If it continues to do well I will be setting my second batch of eggs tonight...

If it makes you feel any better Technodoll the mercury type thermometers are the most accurate if the numbers were put on right (and most are). They have been used for over a hundred years, I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.

I agree, get a couple more thermometers. I bought 4 mercury and 4 digital when I set mine up. kept the 2 most accurate and took the others back. We have enough to worry about without haveing to wonder if the info we are getting is right. Hope all is well soon.

OK, nobody told me about this part. I went to collect eggs this morning and instead of seeing breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I saw 8 possible additions to my flock. It took me a few, but I got it settled, tasted dang good. The learning curve on a first hatch has been interesting. Hope all is well...
