Your whites are looking good! Nice long necks on them. I like the looks of the ones with a few dark feathers, kind of like a paint. Thanks for sharing your pics!

    Russian Orloffs

Do you Facebook? There's a breed group there called Russian Orloff Society of USA and Canada that has a lot of information, including links to breeders. I can PM you some names if you don't. Duck foot is where the toe that is supposed to be pointing backwards on chickens, is rotated forward...

    Russian Orloffs

We get them in our local store every year, but the hatchery birds can have lots of issues, such as Duck Feet. If you are really interested in good Orloffs, there are some awesome breeders in WA!

    Russian Orloffs

Hi Newton! There are several of us that raise Orloffs, but most people are on the Facebook page "Russian Orloff Society of USA and Canada". Come on over if you like. I can't remember when my Orloffs started laying, wasn't too different than the other breeds I own, but later than breeds known...

That's a cute little coop! I just opened a small hole in the wire door separating the grow out box from the main coop yesterday. A few of the Easter batch have ventured out to the main coop and run, but can always run back and hide if they need to. I've got branches in the run they can dive...

    Russian Orloffs

This year I hatched my first "homegrown" Orloff. Since I've culled my Roosters, these are the last babies until the cockerels grow up. Hopefully I will have some nice ones to chose from for next year's breeders, and I still have the two hens that are their moms. Not a big flock, but they...

    Russian Orloffs

What a cutie! I'll have to get a new pic of my Easter babies. I haven't interacted with them much, so they are kind of wild.

If they cooperate, I'll get a better pic of them tomorrow. But I have blonde, light reddish, red, Med brown and dark brown. All over the spectrum.

    Russian Orloffs

I'm probably done for the year since I have limited space. Going to process my main Roo tomorrow because the girls and the neighborhood need a break. We'll see if I get a good one from these guys growing out. (Hope so!)

I like the little zip ties, too. Only ones that aren't banded are the two blondies, which hatched late at night and I didn't have them in baskets. So one blondie from each hen, but I don't know which is which!
