I think and I hope Matthew will correct me if I am wrong, that his reasons are religious. I am fine with that. I tried to clear up what I thought were misconceptions from a non-religious viewpoint. If Matthew were to come to dinner at my house, I wouldn't hide the pigs but I would not...

All right Matthew.... can you give us something specific? Initially you told us its because of what they eat... now you say that you don't care what our pigs eat.... its just not good for you.
Why.
And why group with shrimp ... for instance shrimp eat all kinds of (human thinking)...

And actually.. I don't eat my free rangers. I eat meaties that I move in a portable pen around my yard where there is only grass and they never go past that. But one of these days I might eat one of the...
My point Matthew is that even those meaties will eat anything given the opportunity. My meaties.... cornish x or whatever free range, they can and have distroyed a pasture the lambs and goats only put a little dent in this year....... they eat the grass, the dirt and anything they can and will...

Umm, maybe. But everything that taste's good... Is it all good for you? No.
Infair... I way disagree. And I don't have a religion. I have a Faith in Jesus. But as you said I'm not going to debate that on this thread at this time.
A pig with a balanced diet you say. Well, you...

I've never heard that before and I enjoy pig meat. What's the problem with it?
The list of safe foods gets shorter. Poultry carries salmonella and avian 'flu, beef could turn me into a mad cow (it killed an English dairy farmer that I knew), rabbits have myxomatosis, fish is full of...

I agree But pigs actually aren't very good for you..
Hog wash.... pun intended. Pork has lots of cuts which should be used in moderation, you know.... the really tasty bits (bacon and sausage) but pork per se isn't any worse than any other meat.... I package the two in my freezer and...
