I had to buy some friends for Baby Whole Foods So I ended up with 3 chicks total from this hatch, lol. I bought two, one day old Australorps, pullets from the feed store.
Yep. From Whole Foods grocery store. You look like you are having better luck than me. Mine quit at every stage one by one til I'm left with one lone chick. Now I have to buy it a friend, the feed store has day old Australorps.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I did something similar and it was a year ago and still filled with regret. I bought a Cuy not realizing they carry foreign diseases and it didn't kill my guinea pigs but killed my entire herd of flemish giant rabbits. It was devastating!
Ok so nevermind I have a pip. I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to end up with a lone chick! Is this the lone chick hatch a long or what. At least I have lots of helpful tips! Obviously I can't put it in with the earlier hatch of 18 chicks.
There's nothing here on Craigslist. I actually got my marans eggs from Vista, CA when I was in San Diego this summer visiting family. I should seriously make them bring me eggs. They are visiting this weekend
Nice. Lots of cute chicks everyone!
Well it's day 21. Not even a wiggle in my last two eggs that were the only ones out of 3 dozen Whole Foods eggs to develop. I'm calling it a total fail. I will try again once I get a fan.I need eggs!! I'm in Arizona. Anyone know where I can get eggs? I can't...
Oh thank you. I should have mentioned they are 18 day old blue and black copper Marans and the seller told me the yellow were wheaten throwbacks he gets 1 in 50, but I don't understand why they look different.
Hi. I haven't been saying much but I've been reading up. Congrats everyone on your hatches! I've been sick and my store bought hatch was a disaster. Today is lockdown and I have only 2 eggs out of 3 dozen. I don't even think these will hatch. They seem to be less developed then day 18 but it's...
I just hatched out 18 Marans. They all seem fine, even the one that fell in ice cold water. I have hatched them twice and so far they seem pretty hardy. I keep them outside with no heat. I think yours could be sick. I feed mine medicated chick starter the first small bag then switch to lay...
