Wow, I bet the raw diet is a bit challanging. Hows it working for your tummy? Was it a tough transition? How are you feeling?

Wow, I didn't realize they were using calf rennet enzymes... I'm not vegan, or anything, but it is good to know. Thanks for taking the time to make the call.

There is also veggie rennet, but rennet isn't found in milk. Its either from vegitables or calf stomach linning, neither of which comes from an udder. Rennet is used in a few products to thicken the milk, (esp. cheese and sometimes ice cream).

I could be a bit healthier! Today my anniversary, so there is this great fresh chocolate from the chocolatier downtown in my house. I had Pecan marshamellow "smores" for breakfast (pecans and marshmellows covered in dark chocolate....)

I love foods of India, the middle east (to some extent) and Asian foods for that vegan/veggie fix. Of course, there are increasingly more american foods worth noshing.

Are these rice based noodles? I have not heard of either of them before. I like to use rice noodles and seasoned cooked padthai w/veggies (even warmed leftover veggies). I just put the rice vermaclli into warm water (like you would rice paper), then put seasami oil or walnut oil in skillet...

I made a nice fococia the other day. Pizza crust, partly baked, then takenout, ropped with OVOO, slap on some think sliced tomatoes, or other veggies, maybe some chives, and back into the oven for 8-10 minutes. (w/ or w/o cheese) maybe good place for tofu cheese....

Use chives anywhere you'd use minced onion, except don't cook for long or you'll lose the flabor. Sprinkle it on salad, put it on pizza, Use it in veggie burgers or black bean burgers, put it over scrambled eggs or tofu, put it into veggie soup, use it on top to make things pretty.....

I'll have to see if we even have it around here. I do live in the middle of Kansas, surrounded by beef cattle. If you ask a farmer or rancher if he likes tofu, he'd ask "what kind of cow is that??"

Everyone, would you share a favorite tofu receipe? I like mine slightly crispy on the outside, and smooth and creamy inside. (I use extra firm tofu from the oriental food mart, which gets it fresh every tuesday. I freeze it first (to get more water out), then press it in fridge overnight...

I like a mild Vanilla Soy milk. Although, I only put it on cereal, I never just drink it. If you don't like the flavor, just eat lots of broccoli for the calcium, and a nice wide range of everything to fullfill your bodies needs. You don't need milk, once you are able to chew food, and eat...
