Nice plants @Nelson-Collier ! Is #12 a fig? Did you ever figure out what the white stuff on the tomato leaf was?

My Meyer lemon is planted on the south side of my house. It is 12-15 years old. I kept it in a large pot the first 4 years and moved it in and out of my barn in the winter. I keep it pruned to about 5-6’ tall and wide. I get over 200 lemons each year. We don’t have snow often, but it doesn’t...

For potato and cucumber beetles, I just knock them into a container of soapy water. I keep it out in the garden so it’s always handy.

Ha! I’ve never been able to control them either. Since I’m home a lot now, I’ve been stalking the garden throughout the day. I just happened to be out there when 3 squash vine borers came by and I squirted them with Neem oil then stomped them. I still don’t know if they had already laid...

So far, so good. Harvested yellow squash, zucchini and cucumbers today. Tomatoes are still green, but growing, and eggplant starting to flower. So far I’ve been able to control the squash bugs, vine borers and stink bugs, but as it gets hotter I lose my enthusiasm

Yeah, 30’s is too cold for me in March at least, but mid to upper 80’s in March is way too early!

I got all my veggies planted last week. The squash is already starting to bloom and looks like the tomatoes aren't far behind. It’s supposed to be record setting temps this week, highs in the mid to upper 80’s!🥵 I imagine the bugs will be here soon for the feast🤬

Another rainy day here, so no outside work. All of my seeds have sprouted though and are growing well. Hopefully it will be sunny and warm soon so they can start spending the days outside. I‘m running out of room under the lights inside!

I know what you mean. My tomatoes are coming along, but the squash is not. The seeds are from last year so maybe that’s the problem. The tomato seeds are also from last year, and in fact the Mortgage Lifter seeds are several years old, but apparently still good. The spaghetti squash seeds were...

I picked up onion sets and seed potatoes to plant in the next week or two. I don’t plant many due to space limits. My tomato seedlings are about 6” tall. Think I’ll start some flowers too.

My local feed store/garden center used to sell it, but I haven’t noticed it there lately. I’ll try to remember to ask about it when I get feed in the next few days. If not, then maybe Amazon. The kelp I have just says a great source of micro nutrients. Doesn’t mention potassium  It...

I do have some kelp, I’ll check it out. I used greensand years ago. Not sure if it helped, but I did have lots of veggies that year (of course this was before the insects attacked, also I didn’t have a soil test so I don’t know if the soil was lacking anything!)...
