We decided to call "Thelma" Theodore or Teddy for short :) I love how my girls squeak and quack when they first get out of the pool; preening their feathers and sunning themselves. Teddy just tucks his head in and goes to sleep :) LOVE the Welshies.

We've been calling him Thelmer. WH girls can be LOUD. Especially when they are upset :) Good idea about locking them up for the storm. Hope it's not too bad.

Yeah. Here is the duck in question I have: Either way it is ok. But yeah, beak sexing is not for sure, just so you know :)

Yes, I have noticed a lot of changes with my WH duck and she is just over a year old. The babies are really fun to watch mature. There is a 90 percent accuracy of sexing them upon hatch, which I did when our two hatched. HOWEVER, though the beak said female, I am becoming more and more convinced...

You do have beautiful babies there. My two Welsh Harlequins are just a week or so behind yours and we are going through the same thing :) I have a silver and a gold phase. Their mother is a golden and their father is a silver. As long as they are healthy, that's all you can ask for.

She is a silver phase. You can tell by the markings on her wing. They are a blue. Gold phase does not have blue coloring. She is very pretty indeed.

I have seen the orange bill (aren't male WH SUPPOSED to have orange bills while the females have the dark bills???) and they do look like Welsh Harlequins. Who cares as long as they are healthy.

Are Silvers more popular than Golds? I have gold female and a silver male. I don't know too many people who own golds.

He he he, funny story about my WH girl Shirley. We FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY got rain last night (in the middle of the worst drought in Nebraska history since the dust bowl!) and it started raining HARD and windy so I grabbed my brown rain coat, threw the hood over me and jumped inside their...
