There are two poults bowling in the hatcher and I hear an egg unzipping in there! I hope to have a bator full of fluff in the morning! These guys technically weren't due till Saturday morning lol. But my poults always seem to hatch early.
I'm sorry that she abandoned the nest :( This is a good incubator. I use it as a hatcher now but it was my main incubator before I got my cabinet. It's not overly expensive, holds plenty of eggs and is very stable...
Occasionally, if I'm busy. Usualy doesn't hurt anything. Though, if I'm a day late for lockdown when I have poults due, they anyways tend to surprise me and start hatching early. That's typically when I open the bator to move them to the hatcher and find a wide eyed poult staring at me from the...
When you candle it, if you can see the break up in the air cell or hear peeping, that's how you know if it's internally pipped :)
At least 3 turkey eggs are pipped now and I heard peeping :) One has a nice big hole so far.

It looks like all 4 of my broody's eggs developed and all 4 look like pure, blue silkies! One did quit last minute unfortunately but the other 3 look good. I'm very thankful that I incubated one random egg just in case he clutch failed because I'm sweeping all the pure silkies to hand raise lol...
My first poults of the year are due to hatch next week :) I can't wait! I need a new red tom so hopefully I get one from this group. I'll make me another snuggle bird :) (I love my turkeys lol)
My broody has a baby! 3 out of 4 eggs were peeping first thing this morning but right before bed, one was already hatched :) Looks like a little black silkie mix. I guess time will tell who daddy is. Hopefully, there are more little fluffies under her in the morning.
That makes it sounds so...
My broody girl's eggs all look good but she had an extra egg under her the other day. I hadn't been checking under her so I had no clue how long it was there so I brought it in and threw it in the bator. It's from my production girl and it definitely has a little chick wiggling around in there...
