:oldMy DH was a logger/pulp wood'er for 30+ years, he can surely cut me a taller stump "to order". :fl
:idunnoI'm honestly surprised we don't already have something like that, but I'm gonna look into acquiring one.:highfive:
:highfive:Amen, sister!!!!
I'm awaiting the arrival of my upgraded beheading pedestal myself!
I already have the BIGBIRD "kit" to be installed upon arrival. I've got alterations to make to the "kit" for HUGE neck birds before I kill my 10 pound pekin.
:th
Wonder where @R2elk ordered his...
I know what ya mean!
It was not a homesteaders wife's picnic trying to hack at that crested ducks neck with a hatchet either. I think my chainsaw would've worked quicker (maybe bloodier). Those duck necks are so freaking thick & muscular, I think there's gotta be a better way than what I did. I...
I'd cut my own foot off if I had to handle an axe or splitting maul.
That's why I needed a beheading station with a head/neck holder so I can keep all my fingers.
Poultry shears work incredibly well for beheadings & cullings. Start out with a pair of scissors before upgrading to other or...
Mine's an Estwing!
And my gallows beside my beheading station....
Oh, my goodness, right?!?!?
I do like @R2elk (s) beheading stump. Wonder if I can order me one off of Amazon?
I posted a thread about his ear in the "medical" or "emergency" forums a while back. I just don't see any way to help it without first making it worse again by "reopening" the original wound. I'm tempted to ask my vet if he would consider a little "pro bono" work....
Yep, let me grab a few pictures. It works awesome on quail and chickens! It gives me that extra hand I need. Reckneck "enginuity" (unsure if I spelled that right). 3 large washers, 2 industrial screws & a heavy gauge wire....
:thumbsup
I think I may try this. I just think he's such a pretty bird with all that WHITE.
I use the stacked stump for beheadings. There's a "head/neck holder" on the top stump so I can chop heads easier.
:oops:NOTE TO SELF: this head/neck holder is not an effective device for use on huge...
:hugsding-ding-ding:highfive:
:oldI'll need about 3 or 4 spray bottles, each containing a different shade......
:celebrateI'd totally "tie-dye" him if I could accomplish that task!
:oldI'm gonna think about this.
:confused:Wonder how often I'd hafta touch up his roots!?!?
:loveAw, he's a...
There is alot of cover, they tend to run from barn to porch to woods & back again multiple times throughout the day. I do like the camo idea too. A saddle apron made out of suede leather (like chaps) would be too cute too.
:thOh, yeah?! I feel safer already then.
Eh, I'll send that rooster out in a rainbow color tutu if it'll help his chances of survival. @R2elk is just being practical, understandable.
:thumbsup
I can actually picture him in my minds eye, only bc I grew up watching the good cartoons.:pop
:oldWhat do the foxes do, just sit around waiting on a perfect opportunity?
:mad:Sly little foxes, they must all die!!!
:idunnoWhat does the fox say?
