Thank you everyone here who made suggestions!!! I took the suggestions, made some changes to my hatch process & look what happened! I used the brinsea for hatching. Set it at 99.6 w 60% hum, and stopped turning on day 23. All 5 eggs in hatcher hatched! (6th chick hatched under a peahen)...

Thank you for the info! The eggs are cooking along in the brinsea, due to hatch on Wednesday. Made several adjustments to my hatching process. Thank you everyone for your suggestions!! Will post pics of what hatches & what does not hatch. Fingers crossed for a good hatch.

Thank you for your honesty on this subject. I got very good at hatching shipped chicken eggs, but find pea eggs to be very challenging. I'm sorry that hatches are still less than you'd like, but comforted by knowing I'm not the only one who struggles. Currently have 5 viable eggs on their 23rd...

Thank you for that thoughtful response. I was just wondering if using the hovabator was part of my problem. It's nice to use it & have staggered hatches, but it's much tougher to keep stable. Will try these next 5 eggs in the brinsea for hatching. May chill out with the supplemental turning...

Do u think the eggs were turned too much?

These 2 chicks hatched just fine in same conditions the other 3 did not.

Any suggestions on what I could do differently for future chicks?

I have a question about hatching pea eggs. I love this forum and have learned so very much here! I've had a few pea eggs get all the way to almost hatch and then no external pip. I start them under broody chickens for a week or two, then they go into a brinsea advance w turner on their sides...

I got my first pea egg today!! Yay! It's probably infertile (d/t first egg of the season) but so glad the girls are finally laying!!

Two boys might not be so bad. If you find a couple unrelated girls for them, you will be in good shape. Pics please!

I'm trying to to stress over it, but trying to do everything I can to give them the best chance of hatching. Who knows if it will make a difference in the end.

When I say average, I mean total weight loss at day 13 ranges between 5.4% and 7.9% for 7 eggs. I've read that the goal total weight loss over the 26-28 day incubation is 13%. I used this method to hone in on what humidity works best in my bator for chicken eggs. But pea eggs are new to me...

Does anyone on here track percentage of weight loss of eggs to adjust humidity level in your bators? I've got a few shipped pea eggs at 13 days & they've lost an average of 6.3% of their weight. Is this where it's supposed to be? Half way through incubation and half way to 13% loss. Humidity...
