Yup
Here's something that you'll probably find helpful: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/242460/the-ultimate-list-of-duck-treats-and-supplements
There ya go
It's basically a list of a bunch of treats ducks can eat. Obviously, the list doesn't have everything that ducks eat, but it covers the...
Lol yeah. Anything small enough (Or soft/mushy enough) so that they can't choke.
As for your other question, do you mean treats or commercial feed (Like the pellets or crumbles that you feed)?
Well, you can cut up some grapes (Make them really small), or give them some shredded lettuce. Oatmeal or yogurt or applesauce could work too (You can mix in small chopped fruits or veggies to add flavor, sometimes ducklings don't like plain yogurt or oatmeal). Scrambled eggs (I know, I know)...
I think Amiga covered pretty much everything. My only other advice to you is that, whenever they see you, have treats that you can give all of them. Treats help a lot. Ducks love food.
They're probably imprinted on each other, and will peep peep peep or quack quack quack until they are back together. I'm serious. The most noise my two ducks ever made was when they were apart.
As for the tote... When the ducks were too old for the brooder, but to young for outdoors, we got a...
I love them there is no such thing as too many pictures. Take a lot while they're ducklings, they won't be for long! And lol they never listen when told to stop growing.../
Thank you @Miss Lydia for clearing that up
I thought that, after mating and the egg is laid, the duckling begins to form. Does the duckling only begin to develop after the eggs are put into a warm environment?
To see if an egg is fertile or unfertile, I believe most people candle the egg (Put the egg up against a flashlight or light source in a dark room. If it's fertile, I believe it should be somewhat developed...?) I can't help much on this, because I've never hatched eggs before. Too many unknowns...
Yay! What's his name, does he have one?
They sound adorable
I'm not sure if the Pekin's a boy or a girl, because Pekins are naturally very curious. As they grow, you will notice the sounds they make are no longer peeps. Girls quack, boys make more of a raspy sound. Plus, most boys get a little...
Another thing that I'd like to have known before I started raising my first batch of ducklings is:
You can train them. Yes, like dogs. Very basic commands, like Come, or Go Home, etc. I've heard of someone who got their duck to Sit (So, in a duck's world, basically laying down on command). You...
Most ducks lay eggs within 6-7 months..Some take less time, some take longer. Mine were feed layer chicken feed; they did fine on that. Give ducklings chick starter, and then grower, and then layer, when they get old enough. There should be info on the label about when to feed them what...
